Mick Silver

Mick Silver is a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Statistics Department. Previously Professor of Economic Statistics at Cardiff University and ASA/NSF Senior Research Fellow at US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Publications include the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Economic Journal, and chapters in NBER books. He has contributed to international manuals on consumer, producer and, as editor, trade price indices. A long-time consultant to the U.K. Office for National Statistics and many international organisations. Member of the UN Ottawa Group and Inter- Secretariat Working Group on Price Statistics.
