Ian Johnson

Ian Johnson, a British national, was appointed as the World Bank’s Vice President for Sustainable Development in 1998, where he oversees the Bank’s work on environmentally and socially sustainable development, including the areas of environment and natural resource management, agriculture and rural development, and social development, post-conflict and culture. He is also the Chairman of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
