Stéphane Hallegatte

Stéphane Hallegatte is an economist and environmental science researcher. He works on climate change and natural disasters for Météo-France and the Centre International de Recherche sur l’Environnement et le Développement (CIRED). His research interests concern (1) the assessment of natural disaster consequences, including macroeconomic effects, cross-sectoral interactions and reconstruction management; and (2) the investigation of future climate change damages, the assessment of their cost, and the design and evaluation of adaptation strategies. He is also contributing author in the WG 1 and 2 of the IPCC.
