US Sales Managers Growth Index Rises to New Highs in November


 
The US Sales Managers Market Growth Index accelerated to a 55.1 reading in November, a 28 month high. The month-on -month Sales Growth Index also stayed positive at a similarly elevated level.


The overall Sales Managers Index came in at a 13 month high reading of 52.7. These indexes are currently reflecting economic growth over a wide spectrum of economic activity in the USA.

Below the surface of continuing growth some trends remain less than perfect: The Price Index remains high with a November reading of 54.1, reflecting continuing price inflation, and the Staffing index remains (albeit now only marginally) below the crucial 50 "no growth" index level.

In summary, the economy is buoyant, with growth apparent in many areas of business activity, including defence related areas, augmented by high levels of Government expenditure.
