41 COUNTRIES MAKE UP THE BOTTOM BILLION

World Economics has combined 41 countries to represent the 'Bottom Billion' group of countries. The Bottom Billion are home to (approximately three-quarters of the world's poorest 1.26 billion people) who live in Middle Income Countries. Overall these countries account for 5% of Global GDP and 6% of global GDP growth in the past 10 years (2012-2022).

The Bottom Billion group are home to over 1.33 billion people with an average life expectancy of 62 years and a current median age of 19 against a global average of 30.
