GDP per capita (PPP based) is gross domestic product converted to international dollars using purchasing power parity rates and divided by total population.

World Economics has reassessed Papua New Guinea's GDP by adjusting for any base year age and size of the informal economy to estimate GDP PPP at $65 billion - 50% larger than offical estimates. The population of Papua New Guinea is estimated to be 10.3 million which gives a GDP per capita PPP of $6,260.
