China's Statistical Capacity

STATISTICAL CAPACITY INDEX

Statistical Capacity is a nation's ability to collect, analyse, and disseminate high-quality data about its population and economy.

This index is used as a proxy for assessing the availability of economic resources in national statistics offices. In theory, the larger the resources (Index closer to 100) devoted to statistics offices, the better the quality of statistics.

China's Statistical Capacity Index is 80 against a global average of 74.4.
