GDP per capita (PPP based) is gross domestic product converted to international dollars using purchasing power parity rates and divided by total population.
World Economics has reassessed China's GDP by adjusting for any base year age and size of the informal economy to estimate GDP PPP at $30,290 billion - 22% larger than offical estimates. The population of China is estimated to be 1,444.2 million which gives a GDP per capita PPP of $20,973. This places China in 42nd place in the World Economics Global Wealth rankings and 7th for Asia-Pacific.
