World Economics has combined 35 countries to represent the Heavily Indebted Countries group. Overall these countries account for 2% of Global GDP in 2023, and 3% of global GDP growth in the past 10 years (2012-2022).
The Heavily Indebted Countries are home to over 0.9 billion people with an average life expectancy of 62 years and a current median age of 18 against a global average of 30.
