The Climbing Cost of Climate Change on the EU


 
Europe is the fastest-warming continent globally and it is increasingly suffering the consequences of climate change. A survey published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) this year has shown that, across the EU, the total annual financial loss due to extreme weather has been rising over recent years – and particularly since 2020.
