UAE Demoted on the World Economics Governance Index


 
The UAE’s World Economics Governance Index rating has declined over the last decade. These ratings are linked to the grading of countries. Consequently, the UAE maintains a C-grade in 2025.

Since 2015, the UAE has fallen 20 places in the ranking of the 156 countries included in the Governance Index. The particularly rapid and significant decline of the UAE in the Governance Index, most notably since 2020, clearly signals a worrying trend for investors.
